Richard Avedon
I found this man from martin schoeller, which was inspiration on my teachers blog, from this I searched Anne Leibovitz and Bernd Becher who are all relevant music photographers.

Richard died October 1 2004,
Born in New York into a Jewish family, he was encouraged by his mother into the world of fashion and art, at the age of 12 he joined a camera club and would use his family's Kodak camera to take pictures. He worked for the high school paper, and developed an interest in poetry.
In 1941 he enrolled at Columbia University however dropped out after one year, and then started as a photographer for the Merchant Marines in 1942.
Photography Career
In 1944 he started work as an advertising photographer for a department store, but was quickly asked to be the art fashion director for the magazine Hapers Bazaar, his work then appeared in Bazaar itself in 1945.
In 1946 he set up his own studio and provided images for magazines for Vogue and Life magazines.

His Work:
 I like his work as it is different and nobody has ever seen anything like this before, I like the last shot that I have put up because it is interesting and different compared to anything else on a magazine, I think I'm going to try and do something like this such as an action shot for the cover of my magazine or on my double page spread because it is different and more people would be interested. I also like the fact that all of the images are edited and in black and white and this is consistent through all of his work, I like this style.
I think that I could achieve this by using props for my model to stand on or lean against and therefore creating an interesting angle for my model to be standing against and so making the picture really interesting. I could also dress my model in loose clothing and therefore this will create movement in the shot as she moves around the studio and this will also make the shot really interesting and different to any other cover and so will attract my audience.
