These are examples of NME magazine which I would like to use as a model for my magazine. Here they use very informal language to address the reader, such as unfinished sentences and incomplete utterences such as "muse" and "save our small venues" I think that this keeps the audience interested and therefore they will buy the magazine and this will sell more copies as they will want to read on to see the full. I also think that it is colloquial and chatty towards the reader and therefore friendly, and because it is their target audience I think that they know what to say to keep them interested such as certain bands: The wombats, Muse, and panic at the disco all on one cover.
In the articles I think that they are formal as there is information to get across and they want to get it across in the shortest way as they do not want to bore the reader and they want to keep them interested. I also like the way that they use quotes from the people that they use as it uses humour and this also keeps the audience interested.
I think that I would like to use this informal register in my magazine as it keeps the reader interested and therefore they will keep reading. I also think that I should keep the articles as short as possible and therefore use more quotes and images to humour my audience.
