All of these magazines are in the genre that I would like to use which is Indie/Rock. Also I would like to use a female model and therefore this is a good representation of what I would like to do. I like the tagline in the first NME magazine as it is on the line of the last third of the magazine and therefore you are drawn into it and also it is a yellow on a dark background and therefore it stands out more and therefore this is a colour that I should consider. I also like the masthead in all of these magazines as they use red which stands out against the black and white around it and therefore draws you into it. Also because it is a well known name and therefore you are able to place the image over the name of the magazine and therefore challenges the conventions of a magazine.
Most of the magazines have a colour scheme of red, yellow, white and black which contrasts each other and so stands out against everything.
